There are many things to love about Nassau County, but no one loves our high cost of living. Now, life is about to get a little more affordable for all Nassau residents who pay retail prices for prescription drugs. If you haven’t received a NassauRx card in the mail and would like to request one, please call 1-877-321-2652.

Any county resident – regardless of age, income or existing health insurance – may use the card. Currently, you can use the card at more than 90 percent of Nassau pharmacies and at more than 54,000 nationwide. Find a participating pharmacy.
• Useful. All commonly prescribed prescription drugs are covered, brand-name and generic.
• Easy. There are no claim forms to fill out and no annual fees to pay.
• Convenient. Simply present your card with your prescription at any participating pharmacy.
• Friendly. Any member of your family can use the card; additional cards are free. To request a card please call 1-877-321-2652.
Even if you have insurance for prescription drugs, you may still benefit from the NassauRx card, since it may save you money on drugs your existing plan does not cover.
Why did the Comptroller’s Office create this card? Because too many Nassau residents of all ages lack adequate drug coverage. We found a way to harness the group purchasing power of our 1.3 million residents and offer a free prescription drug discount card for every Nassau County citizen who wants one. And we did it at no cost to the county. We’re proud to be the first county in New York State to offer this benefit.
